Today in the union tribune I read that a drill sgt. Was found guilty for abuse and mistreatment. His name was Jerrod glass 25, showed no emotion as the military jury's president, col. Warren foersch, announced guilty for eight charges. The verdict will almost certainly end glass’ military career. He was a fast rising marine until prosecutors charged him in august with more than 225 accounts of recruit abuse. Those charges were narrowed down to eight for his court material.
I think this guy did all of that he deserves to be fired from the military.
I feel that the people he abused should beat him.
Convicted
In a sequence of events Francisco Javier. Was running one of Mexico's most powerful lucrative and violent drug dealing.
In Sept 17, in United states court he plead guilty. He will probably be sent to prison for life. Ramon the AFO’s sadistic killer enforcer. And older brother Benjamin was cartels number one boss. He was captured last month and senected for 22 years to life. They made Benjamin verify who worked with him on those jobs he did for Francisco Javier. To simplify everything you will be caught and persecuted if you defy the law. I think that this is great to get this people of the streets of Mexico and that we should start revving this area.
Today I read a story about four gunmen who broke into Africa's most secretive nuclear facility, some guy and his fiancĂ©e were in the room the guy put her under the desk and then he got shot as the four gunmen came in the room. The gunmen took the laptop, as they were running from the guards they dropped their loot and they got away. The gunmen were never caught the government was embarrassed because thy don’t know who broke into the secret nuclear facility.
"Marine Convicted of Recruit Abuse"
A former drill instructor in San Diego was found guilty of assault and mistreatment yesterday I one of the nation’s worst cases of the recruit abuse to ever come to light. Marine Sgt. Jerrod Glass, 25, showed no emotions as the military jury’s president, col. Warren Foersch, announced “guilty” for each of the eight charges listed. He was a fast-rising Marine until prosecutors charged him in august with more that 225 counts of recruit abuse. Those charges were winnowed to eight for his court-martial. Yesterday, the jurors concluded that Glass abused 23 of the 45 recruits under his charge in the late 2006 and early 2007 at the Marine Corp Recruit Depot in San Diego. Some witnesses lauded for going out of his way to help others. But during the weeklong court-martial, some of Glass’ former students portrayed him as cruel. They found Glass guilty of 2 counts of violating a lawful order, 2 counts of maltreatment, 3 counts of destruction of property and one count of assault.
I don’t agree, because in the marine they are supposed to treat them bad because in the war there is no good threat.
I also don’t agree because I know how exaggerated are people in the government of accusing people and probably he broke something without trying and they charge him.
Other reason I have to do not agree its because I almost tell that they are exaggerating , I said this because the total of charges they where putting were 225 .
What impact me its that they put 225 charges. That’s the structure they have in the army so I don’t think he broke any law. I perceive that there its something else in that.

Juror misconduct alleged in murder case.
A woman who served as a juror in the trial of Cynthia Sommer testified yesterday that a pannel member may have commited misconduct. An ex police detective who served in the jury considered information during deliberations that wasn't presented in trial, which is a violation of court rules. Sommer was convicted for poisoning her husband Sgt. Todd Sommer and using his inherited insurance for breast-augmentation surgery. The STRUCTURE of her intensions to kill her husband made her look really bad. I don't even think she PERCEiVES the IMPACT she has put upon her children. If a new trial is not called upon, then she will face life in prison with no parole.
ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff
He is neither hurt nor throwing differently, neither confused nor without confidence, neither overloaded nor overly hyped. Neither is he Joe Montana, Brett Favre or Peyton Manning.
No, by some measures, Philip Rivers is better than those three at a similar stage in their careers.
While Rivers takes fire from seemingly everywhere, it should be noted that through 25 starts, his passer rating, touchdown-to-interception ratio and win-loss record are better than any of those three – Montana a Hall of Famer and Favre and Manning headed there.
HOWARD LIPIN / Union-Tribune
Through nine games, 20 QBs have a better passer rating than Philip R ivers' 77.9.Without a doubt, Rivers is struggling.
Over the past two games, he is 32-for-66 for 301 yards with three interceptions and no touchdowns. In six games this season, Rivers has had a passer rating below 75.0, a mark he bettered in all but two games in 2006. Through nine games, 20 quarterbacks have a better passer rating than his 77.9, a number so low due to his having been intercepted as many times as he has thrown a touchdown pass (10). And where he was the league's top fourth-quarter passer last season, he ranks 41st this year with a 47.2 rating.
“I'm by no means playing the way I want to play,” Rivers said yesterday.
I think he can do better. He has shown us before that he is better. Hopefully he could fire himself up.
Boy,10 wont face charges over fire.
A Los Angeles boy told his parents and others that he had started a 38,000-acre fire last month. He didn’t PERCIVE right Which led to destroying 21 homes in north Los Angeles, he is not being charged that’s what has been said by prosecutors. For one they do not have any evidence that it was the young boy as well as they say that it was all an accident he was just playing outside of his house with matches. There is no way that they know that he did it but again they cant prove it because they don’t have any evidence, although they do know he told his parents.
When one gets to thinking about it is in fact something that was said to be a mistake but really what is a 10 year old boy doing playing with matches, as well as he is old enough to know not to light a fire. For the most being though there is nothing going to be done to the young boy. maybe it will IMPACT the young boys life later on, Again putting him in jail wont do anything and al boy doesn’t belong there as well as charging him but yet he should know better.
- The San Diego Union Tribune
- Prices fall in all corners of southern California
- The article that I read today was about the Housing Market. There is a great IMPACT in the economy for southern California. I read that the home prices fell last month in all six major Southern California counties for the first time in 12 years. Some economists are trying to PERCEIVE whether the housing decline will push areas of the state into a recession. But San Diego County one of the first markets to see a housing downturn may be among the first to recover, one prominent economist said. DataQuick Information Systems reported yesterday that sales from Ventura to San Diego were at their lowest for any October since the La Jolla based firm began keeping records in 1988. in the greatest drop off, year to year sales were down 54.8 percent in San Bernardino County. For the first time since 1997. also the Los Angeles County housing prices fell.
- I think that this is a pretty interesting article. I think that the housing STRUCTURE is pretty delicate. If one county gets affected then all of them get affected.
- one interesting thing that I learned is that San Diego county's slide was not as severe as other counties drop.
The article I was reading this morning was very interesting. It was about pollution in our ocean. It was specifically talking about the great pacific garbage patch that is known to be floating between California and Hawaii. It is estimated that the STRUCTURE of the garbage patch is twice the size of Texas. The plastic concentration in the water is six times more than that of plankton. What scientists say that led to this is the fact that water currents drag the trash that has floated to the ocean into a big pile in the middle of the currents were the water rarely move so it is just laying there stagnant. Since most of the debris is plastic the sun just overheat it, the plastic cracks and breaks down to small pieces and ends up just floating around. Yet other researchers believe that the plastic in the water is not affecting the animal lives that inhabit those areas, they also believe tat the ESTIMATED size of the actual patch is wrong. Nevertheless plastic is not good in our oceans. It is affecting wildlife and if wildlife is affected then humans are affected. All of this is having a great IMPACT on our environment and it is hard to say it can be eradicated. Overall the article was written to raise awareness and give us a different PERSPECTIVE on pollution.
Last year,35.5 million in U.S. suffered hunger, survey finds
This article’s FOCUS is on one bone chilling statistic after another. The article seems to give high EMPHASIS on how both CATEGORIES of race and class could mean actually going hungry because of lack of funds. This article has some high IMPACT on me because it mentioned that people are taking in family and friends because they are bankrupt or close to it. I say that because my cousins father has come really close to bankruptcy and forced to sell his house which caused him to move in with us. This changed somewhat the STRUCTURE of our family and how we spend our time. I Could PERCIVE that if my family did not step in they would be homeless and starving. The other part of the article showed that the race you were affected the likely hood of going hungry at least once in the year. The article went on to fill its pages with shocking numbers including 35.5 million going hungry.
This article is should open up some eyes even though it was located on the 7nth page. no one in America should go hungry.
51 Pegasi opens up world imagination
For a long time, Scientists and astronomers have been trying to analyze whether there are any living planets orbiting the outer space other than ourselves. Whether there are any other living planets here besides earth has been a debate between scientists that has been taking place for many millenniums back. Until the 1960s, there was no technology constructed that was significant enough to factor if any other planet consisted of life. When more alternatives of technology where created, it was easier for scientists to verify the search of other worlds. With the new use of technology it was easier to issue debates on astronomy and other things in space. The first sun like star, indicated as 51 Pegasi whom scientists believed was the first to indicate a planet was orbiting near the star. Other information was soon discovered by scientists that help the rest of us understand a bit more of what our galaxy and space is made of. The new eye of technology also gave in new ways to perceive the view of life and astronomy.
♫The article I read today was about a cyclone that happened in Bangladesh. The winds hit around 131 mph. Local officials said that the cyclone killed at least 500 people. A united news of Bangladesh counted at least 1,100. The cyclone which was named Sidr happened late Thursday night. By the time the storm hit India it had already weakened even though it was still loaded with moisture. Even though the cyclone already past in Bangladesh the country still isn’t safe. There is a possibility that there might be rain and flooding.
♫Reflection:
♫What I read this morning was shocking. I thought that usually when there is a storm or cyclone or anything coming the people usually get notified so they can get prepared. I didn’t hear anything so I was in shock.
♫Fact:
♫An interesting fact that I read about today was that Sidr's powerful winds and lashing rain uprooted trees, leveled homes and even damaged buildings where residents sought shelter.
Union Tribune: Marine is given 6 months.
Today I have read a short article on a Ex-drill instructor charged with abuse. He is being sentenced to six months in prison. They lowered Sgt. Jerrod Glass to the lowest Marine rank and gave him a bad conduct discharge. He had beat and abused 23 men in his charge. He had faced a sentence of 9 ½ years in prison. Also another two Sgts. Will be charged with cruelty, assault and disobeying orders. Jarrod Glass said that he did those things because he thought it was the right thing to do and because it was what he was told to do. He also said he wanted to get his troops ready for combat. He said that what hurts him the most is the fact that he lost his job. I think that if the allegations are true then he deserves more time in jail. He deserves to get fired but he needs more time in jail.
