Tim Tebow

Tim Tebow is a college student heading to the number one Heisman spot after, he crushed the number one Oregon ducks. He plays for the Florida Gators and him and the gators are on a role this year winning 81% of there games this year. Close behind him is the Oregon state ducks quarterback is Dennis Dixon who looks very much like a young Michael Vick. Although did not play this weeks because of the bye week of this week. I am pretty sure that he will get his spot back this week. To summarize Tim Tebow attitude he ran for five touchdowns he seems to believe that he carries the Florida state Gators. Unlike Dennis Dixon who throws as first option then last he seems to have a fire burning with all his team mates. To Summarize all this I believe that Dennis Dixon will win the Heisman. My only issue with Tebow is that he will go to the NFL thinking he carries a team and he is the whole team.

A burning Question
The Red Cross Association has been analyzing what will be done with evacuees in the future. QUALCOMM has also been evaluated in whether or not a new stadium should be built in eastern Chula Vista by the new 125 freeway. The context of the new stadium building has been in debate of whether it would be a good place for evacuees in another fire. The situation at QUALCOMM with the evacuees of the fire have been equated to disaster of the future. It is also said that of the Chargers do get a new stadium made in Chula Vista, they wouldn’t know what will happen to the old Qualcomm stadium. The main reason stated why the Chargers want a new stadium in Chula Vista is because of political and financial problems. But the land where Qualcomm stands now is said to be worth too much too be lost. Suggestions have been made by land experts, where the 166-acre can be constructed into high-rise condos and hotels, glamorous office towers and a impressive San Diego River Park. But when the next San Diego fire comes evacuees will be sent somewhere else. One man by the name of George Biagi, who experienced the night of the fires at Qualcomm stadium stated that the stadium wasn’t a very pleasing encampment. Despite the nice feeling derived from goodwill, the night was cold, and he also stated that it was unhealthy due to the bad air filtered with ashes from the fire, and a lack of permanent showers. The preparedness for emergencies is becoming a big concern priority for the future. And because the new stadium will be built too close too Harris where the fires where, it might not be such a great solution to place it as an evacuation center. But there have been debates made by the Red Cross Association and the from the fires debate over where evacuation centers could be made. The October 2007firestorms were ranked as a Level II disaster. I think the evacuee people are picky everyone is picky, and you can’t deny it. I guess they expect to evacuate to nice hotels with gold shower rooms but what do they expect. I think they need to get used to it if there cold then they should have been prepared with extra blankets, Qualcomm doesn’t have automatic heaters. Besides if they want better places to evacuate to then they should pay higher taxes. I also think that they should create places for evacuees to stay, but where I don’t know but it’s good I guess that there are being to be “prepared”.

Today in the union tribune I read that in Sudan that British school teacher was convicted with blasphemy, inciting hatred and insulting Islam after she allowed her 7- year old students to name their teddy bear Muhammad. if Gillian gibbons the teacher who taught at Sudan's most exclusive private schools could be sentenced to six months and 40 lashes. The case started in September when Gibbons began a project on animals and asked her student to come up with a name for their teddy bear. The class voted the name to be Muhammad. She told her students to take it home, take a photograph of it and write a diary named my name is Muhammad. Many parents complained said the government and Gibbons who is 54 years old was arrested. We don’t name animals Muhammad rabie said. In Islam insulting the prophet is a grave of defense and in Khartoum in northern Sudan it is a crime.
I think its lame because the school teacher was obviously not thinking because when the article it said the kids voted on the name and she was not paying attention
I feel that the school teacher shouldn’t have been convicted because I feel she just wasn’t thinking at the time

Gang gets hit with injunction by judge.

Vista Court has ordered about 100 gang members from Varrio San Marcos for an EVALUATi0N. Some of those 100 were deported, others were sent to jail because of arrest warrants, many were put on probation. Violation of their probation will EQUATE up to 6 months in jail and a 1,000 dollar fine. The rest of the CONTEXT explained that this was the second time that an injunction was being pressed among Varrio San Marcos gang. The last time was in 1997.
I think that the government is doing a better job at tracking gang members down. I've been hearing a lot of stories of gang members trying to put in work and getting on the news papers. Its about time that the crime goes down.

I was reading an article on water pollution caused by Sea World’s firework displays. There is a certain action being taken on by Sea world to prevent a lawsuit by an environmentalist group. The group is very concerned that the firework displays are depositing harmful chemicals in the San Diego bay area. Since Sea World doesn’t want to get sued for pollution it has taken action and asked for a special permit to the city of San Diego in order to perform their firework shows. Under the permit the water around the bay area would be tested two times a year and a sample of the sediments would be taken in order to determine if the firework dust hasn’t settled at the bottom. The sediments would be EVALUATED for 41 toxins including; aluminum, magnesium, potassium, sodium, iron, copper, nitrates, sulfates and perchlorates. The permit would EQUATE permission by the city to allow Sea World to display 150 of their shows per year. Yet the CONTEXT of the permit is viewed differently by both the environmentalist group and by Sea World. To the group the permit seems too lenient and for Sea World it seems too harsh. All in all I believe that it was a good action of Sea World to take the initiative.

♫ The article I read about this morning was about the fireworks permit for SeaWorld. It is said that SeaWorld may be the first business in the United States to acquire a pollution discharge permit for all the fireworks they explode over a large body of water. Workers from the San Diego Regional water quality control board. A state agency charged San Diego with enforcing the clean water act. The boards directors will consider adopting the permit after a public hearing set for December 12. The offered permit would be only be used by SeaWorld. SeaWorld has staged thousands of firework shows over the bays southeastern quadrant since the year 1984. they say that other fireworks displays such as the ones used on the 4th of July would not be affected.

♫reflection=]
♫ My reflection for this article about the permit for SeaWorld is analyzed to a very important subject for the business. This permit thing must be giving the head managers a headache. I just hope that they get that permit soon because I hear that the best part of going to SeaWorld is seeing the fireworks at the end.

♫Fact=]
♫An important fact or interest that I read in this article was that the Bay will be tested to ensure no pollution.

Union Tribune: Nearly half of spotters unavailable when fires began.
Today I have read an article on the San Diego union Tribune about the spotters and how they were not working when the San Diego fires broke last month. Almost half of the 43 spotters did not show up for work on October the first day that the wild fires started. The reason for this is because they were doing other things, not because they retired or because they had injuries. Of the 24 spotters that were available state wide only three were filling for critical roles. People say that this is one of the reasons why they could not put the fires out sooner. They think that this was a bad thing for the Fire Department of how they acted. The latest blazes destroyed 1,700 homes and burned 368,000 acres and killed 10 people in San Diego County. People say that even if all available aircraft would have gone out they do not know if it would have helped. They think that there would have not have enough space for all of the helicopters to operate at the same time. I think that they did a fabulous job. They did what they could and they risked their lives for their Country. They should not be questioning if they did a good job. They did what they could and we should appreciate their generosity.

*Research calls ‘super X-rays’ a cancer threat.
today in the union tribune there was an article that caught my eye it was about Researcher's, they are to be said that x-rays are a leading cause of cancer, more than million of American's especially children go get x-ray’s for different reason’s; it is the highest leading cause as well they lead to other medical problems. In a bout a couple of years there have been 2% death’ caused by cancer which they say that most of them may be from CT scans. Experts are trying to alarm all people not just the young one’s, they all agree that they need to find a way so that all this can be prevented because they say children are the one’s who usually go in to get CT scan’s and if that they might develop cancer. Although they soon hope for it all to change there have been nearly 62 million CT scan’s done in the United States last year and in 1980 more than 4 million where children.
I think that what they are doing by trying to figure out a way how to make sure that CT scan’s is what is causing the cancer, and they do need to find a way how to prevent it from happening by the CT scan’s because it is true there is usually little kids that are the one’s getting scanned all the time.

=Electronics For Tots=
The toy industry is now getting kids into more high tech toys. They are now selling them toys that do not need any of their imagination. The doctors don’t recommend any TV, or any screen time for kids under 3 years old. And they only recommend no more than 2 1/2hrs for older kids. Now all of their toys or games need to be played on TV. Kids Also now prefer the “real stuff” they don’t want the fake cell phone or the fake lap top. They are asking for these things that’s why the regular toy companies came up with KGOY. This stands for Kids Getting Older Younger.
If their parents don’t want their kids to get into this sort of stuff then take them out to do some nature stuff.
The toy industry should get the kids into some action figures again.
These toys are going to cause more obesity.
These toys lead the children to buy more expensive electronics in their future years.

In the article, Burned-out homeowners begin insurance process, I learned of how many are now trying to rebuild after the fires. The article began with some measures of improvement since the Cedar fire with fewer complaint of under-coverage. Under-coverage for a house happens when the hose is destroyed and the insurance gives insufficient funds to rebuild it this accredited to the not reassessing their property. When a house id insured the money the plan gives back does change for inflation but id does not cover new standards in building a new home leaving many with not enough money to build. I the article it gave a devastating example of a family that was under insured and because of a previous bad business move they mortgaged their house for several thousands and now could not afford to rebuild.
In this article it painted a quite devastating picture of how fires have an impact that last long after the last ember has gone out. With several families now rebuilding and insurance companies trying to cope I am glad to see that there is less bad news surrounding this fire than the previous one.
The most interesting fact in this article is that knowledge of the previous fires had a positive how people of this fire where handled.

♥ San Diego Union Tribune
♥ “Facebook does an about-face”
♥ Summary; This morning’s blog is based on the *TEXT* I read inside the newspaper. It was about how the users of the social-networking web-site were very upset with the new feature added on last night. The feature allowed people to see what the users purchased online. The most popular complain was a man named Sean Lane who purchased a 14k White Gold 1/5 ct. Diamond Eternity Flower Ring from overstock.com was posted in bold on the top of his page for everyone to see. This was done without Sean Lane’s *CONSENT* too. The idea, according to the company, is to allow merchants to turn millions of facebook users into a “word of mouth promotion” service. Sadly, Sean found it as a ruined Christmas present for his wife because she already saw the present. It has already started a problem with it’s users, so much that 50,000 of its users have already signed a petition to require permission before posting up online transactions. Facebook argues that they do ask for permission to show the online transactions but that it’s only about 1 minute and if you do not click no, it assumes you are okay with it.
♥ Reflection; I do not know how anyone would think that a minute is enough time to ask someone if it’s okay to post up private information. I think if anything, it should be an on/off feature allowing users to be able to turn it on and off whenever they want to.
♥ Interesting fact; Facebook has announced 44 partners in the feature such as, Ebay.
