Clinton: Global warming challenge could be economic boost- The TEXT I read today was about Hillary Clinton pushing her energy plans. Hillary was making proposals to CONSTRUCT new plans at the campaign in Iowa. She also says that the battle of global warming is a sign of opportunities for the U.S democrat. Hillary argues that the global warming is AFFECTED the air.
Reflection- I think that it is brave of Hillary Clinton to go to the campaign in Iowa because she is a female. Most men don’t believe females have the power to make there own moves. Hillary Clinton is showing a good example to kids as she teaches them about the air pollution.
Interesting Fact- An interesting Fact about this article is that a strategic fund would be roughly a third of a 10 year $150 billion investment for her energy package.

Suspect On The Loose After Deputy Shot...
Today i read about a prisoner that shot his transpot officer and escaped. He was being transported to court on a robbery charge. They say that the man, (Michael Mazza) overpowered the officer and shot him. After that he pushed the deputy out of the transport van and took off. They found the deputy lying in a parking lot after the police station got a call saynig that he had been pushed out of the transport van. The deputy is in critical conditions. They found the transpot van in between some building just two hours later. They still dont know if Michael Mazza did it on his own, or if he had outside help.

I think that it it good for him that he got away, but bad for the police. I dont know if it was his 3rd strike but he wouldnt have done all of that if it was his first conviction. I think he's happy right now. But other than that the police are going to be looking for him and he is going to have to be on the low for a long time.

The boat, which set out from Senegal with FOCUS and as many as 150 people and apparently traveled hundreds of miles, was found Tuesday by a Mauritanian patrol boat, a Spanish Civil Guard official said.
It was one of the highest death tolls this year among Africans trying to escape poverty and AFFECT and reach Europe's southern gateway.
When the vessel was found, there were 100 people aboard and two dead bodies, the official said under department rules barring her name from being published.
In Mauritania, officials agreed that there were 98 survivors, but otherwise offered slightly different numbers. Spokesman Elliot Cohen said authorities are hunting for suspect Michael Mazza, 40, who was on his way to appear and MAINTAIN in court in Fort Lauderdale on a robbery charge.
Mazza, who was serving two life sentences for robbery, was in a wheelchair in the transport van because of complaints of back pain. Cohen said authorities now suspect Mazza was faking.
The white transport van, with green stripes and "Sheriff" written on the side, was found shortly before 10 a.m. "For this generation, climate change is our space race," said Clinton, speaking in a cavernous factory with giant wind turbines in the background.
Clinton, who is pursuing the Democratic presidential nomination, is CONSISTING for creation of a $50 billion strategic energy fund, coupled with tougher fuel efficiency standards financed in part by $20 billion in "green vehicle bonds." It's part of a package she calls the most comprehensive offered to tackle global warming.
"The climate crisis is also one of the greatest not POSITIVE economic opportunities in the history of our country," she said. "It will unleash a wave of innovation, create millions of new jobs, enhance our security and lead the world to a revolution in how we produce and use energy.“
All this stuff to me is crazy especially about that convict escaping. Also global warming is a major crisis. And about the migrants there were just doing what they had to do.

This article was about a 40 year old man Michael on the loose after the killing of a deputy. The deputy was found in the parking lot and now in the medical center. Michael also is getting charged with stolen property of a truck that he is on the loose with. When he had killed the deputy he had also taken his gun.
Reflection- I think that it is sad that a deputy was found lying in the parking lot dead. I also think that it is weird that it took so long to find the suspect after he stole someone's car. Some investigators even said that he had CONSUMED drugs before the murder.
Interesting Fact- An interesting fact about this article is that he had faked being injured and put in a wheel chair but he has been faking it the whole time. The ROLE he play’s now is a murderer and a robberies.

Clinton: Global Warming Challenge Could Be Economic Boost...

Cedar Rapids, Iowa- The battle against global warming means big economic opportunities as well as challenges for the U.S. Democrat Hilary Rodham Clinton. The climit Crisis is also one of the greatest economic opportunites in the history of our country. It will unleash a wave of innovation, create millions of new jobs, enhance our security and lead the world to a revolution in how we produce and use energy. They ESTIMATE one in four low income families have already missed a mortgage or rent payment because of rising energy costs. That is POSITIVE for the energy companys but it is a downfall for low income families. It is already starting to take AFFECT and people are missing payments. I think they are going to have to make an ALTERNATIVE plan or something to help these families out. If they do do that, the families will be able to MANTAIN the payments and keep their houses.

I think this is a bad thing because it is making the bills go up for energy. That is causing families that cant afford those kinds of payments to fall back and loose their homes. This is sad and i think that they should try and actually do something about this global warming issue. Instead of always talking about it and not doing anything.

I was reading this really interesting article from CNN News. The article EMPHASIZED the actions the minute men are taking to “protect” their country. Chris Simcox is the founder and VOICE of the Minutemen Defense Corps and it was his PRECIOUS dream to construct a fence that would go from one tip of the border all the way to the other to keep illegal immigrants out. Since he envisioned his dream he has been PLOTTING to build the thousand mile long fence. He has asked his fellow companions in the fight against illegal immigration to donate money in order to build the fence that he estimated would cost 55 million dollars since it was supposed to be high tech and have those face recognizing cameras. Some of the members of the Minutemen corps have gone far enough to even mortgage their homes to donate the money. Yet many months have gone by with no result and the conference and the inauguration of the fence only revealed a five-strand barbed wire that by no means is high tech. Simcox has not been able to be contacted and he has refused any interview. The amount of money donated has not been stated either, and when Simcox’s tax reports for the corps got released to the members an incredible amount of money was spent in “professional services” yet those services have not been specified by him. It seem APPROPRIATE to say that all those men that are so mean in the name of patriotism receive a dose of their cruelty.

Migrants toss dozens of dead comrads overboard.

In Madrid,Spain many migrants spent 3 weeks at sea off West Africa's coast and threw an ESTiMATE of 50 dead bodies overboard. The migrants were trying to reach Europe to escape poverty. People on board slowly started dying from hunger, thirst, and the cold weather. 143 people set sail on October 16 when the motor failed to run last week. Greatfully they came apon another boat which brought their rescue. The position of the boat was EXAMiNED, they're not sure if the sailers steering the boat tried to turn it around. The people on board seemed to be in shock and needed immediate medical care.

Critter in your House? What to do

We've all seen wild animals run into homes on television, but what do you do when one actually does get into your house? Simply FOCUS on the wild animal, turn off all the lights, swining things at it to run out of the house will only make a mess for yourself. Turning off the lights and opening doors and windows will calm the animal down and eventually lead the animal to the cooler air and light. Or how about the unforgettable 'Dropping your cell phone into the toilet' technique. Do not, i repeat, DO NOT grab the phone with your hands. First of all, its disgusting because it's not just water inside that toilet, and second, it might electricute you. Put on rubber gloves, grab it. After you've got the phone, take out the battery and sim card and dry it with a paper napkin. If you love your phone enough, you could pay 100 dollars to have your phone dried out at the cell phone repair store as an alternative to buying a new phone.

I thought that the article that had common mistakes or problems in the average household was most interesting. It was more efficient and was more realistic. The other articles i read seem like a story to me since i haven't seen it.

- CNN news
- The article that I read today was about a barrier that was CONSTRUCTED by volunteers. This was in Cochise county in Arizona. The barrier was supposed to be 14 feet high and topped with razor wire. It was also supposed to send a message to Washington that if the government wouldn’t seal off the southern border, then the ALTERNATIVE is that volunteers could. Almost two years later, the reality is a five-strand barbed-wire barrier that ranchers dismiss cattle fence. The fence to help stop illegal immigration was DERIVED from Chris Simcox. Another article that I read was about migrants tossed dozens of comrades overboard. The boat was ESTIMATED to have 150 people. It is IDENTIFIED as one of the highest death tolls this year.
- I think that these articles were pretty interesting. The one about the migrants was pretty sad.
- One interesting thing that I learned was that as of late August 8000 people have died trying to migrate to Europe.

Clinton: Global warming challenge could be economic boost
In the first article that was presented to me It CONSITED of of how going green could do more than help the environment. Global warming is a quickly growing issue that faces some still heavy opposition but Democratic Candidate Hilary Clinton spoke on how we can benefit not only through the environment but economically as well. She clams that the crisis that we are facing can allow us to prosper onwards with new jobs better security and a better use of energy. In her speech she calls for a 50 billion dollar strategic found as well as tougher fuel efficiency standards to SIMPLIFY our dependency of foreign fuel. She also criticized current President Bush’s inaction of global warming.
In this article it is easy to see that global warming is a quickly growing issue and one that will create a SEQUENCE of great debates to future nominees for president. To me this is all great, to hear that something ecological could help out economical as well is great news for the environment as well as my wallet.
Migrants Toss dozens of dead comrades overboard
Tragic news was presented to me in the second article as 50 migrants who were searching for a better life at Europe’s southern gate died at sea. The migrants were Africans trying to escape poverty and enter Europe when their boat’s engine stopped at sea. With few supplies and lost at sea their number dwindled down from one hundred and fifty to just one hundred. It is not clear if they turned back or just drifted to where they were intercepted. The sad fate that these people faced is just part of the hundreds who try to reach Europe from Africa’s coast in an attempt to escape poverty using boats that often capsize or sink. They have increased security and patrol there is EVIDENCE that this has decreased the number attempting the journey.
In this article a sad tale was told of migrants trying to seek better life. I feel that it is these boarders that not only separate us but demand lives to keep their walls up. To escape their world they risk their lives why does this have to be. I believe that this article helps to VERIFY my strong belief that borders hurt people.
The most interesting fact that I have learned in this article was that boarders are a issue that plagues the world.
Minuteman’s High tech border fence called “a cow fence”
The last article was a laugh riot as once thought high minutemen’s contributions turn out to be low. The cow fence that was expected to show how that volunteers could build the fence instead of the government is laughable this is a good example of government knows best which they really do so its important to frame these times.

Restoration under way in Mount Soledad slide
13 families have been relocated because of the previous tragedy that occurred in Mt. Soledad. Recently the mountain in La Jolla had a massive amount of land that consisted of mud slide off onto thirteen homes. Due to the land slide the houses were seriously affect and need to be examined for an estimation of fixture. But since Mount Soledad has a huge down fall, it has derived it’s first actual step to it’s rebuilding consisting of a more secured road. A sequence of workers have been in on out working on the hillside, placing dozens of steel reinforced columns that will sink into the uppermost of the uppermost part of the slide. Contractors hope by the steel columns it will help factor a safer place for the home around the mountain. The project is estimated to take about a month until Mount Soledad is completely fixed and the houses will alter be worked on. Mount Soledad is a really cool place to go to, and hopefully it will still be open.

Critter in your house? What to do.
In the first article that I read it was specifically talking about critter’s in your house, explaining the places where they hide most of the time. Normally they are always in one’s vent, garage etc it is very easy to IDENTIFY the type of animals. Many people have tried all sorts of things to get rid of these little animal’s but for most people its never successful. Its always a good idea when you are in a new house that you should always get it inspected by a pest-control just to ANALYZE the house and always checking the basement because that’s where most animals end up. The safety of ones children is something that you should always look at. Example, sometimes it’s a good idea if you look in the night, bats only come out at night as well as raccoons. There is also to be said that people believe that they have ghost in there new homes but it might be hard for an inspector to actually go and check for ghost. When its sometimes coming down to the article seems to be just talking about mainly about homes and the couple of ways that you can improve your home.

=Globel warming issue.=
$50 billion dollars and more are being used wisely for once. This money is being used for global warming issues, also some for “Green vehicle bonds.” This global warming is said to strike at the poor. Because of rising energy costs low-income families cant afford it or the rest of their bills. And we now are calling for a 150 billion for energy package.
I think that this issue should get more attention because this issue affects everyone not just a group of people.
What this person is doing is very smart because it is very important and it is being ignored by most.
This is now caught my attention and I agree with all of the steps she is making.
President bush is not paying any attention to this issue.
=Critter in your house=
People try to scare away the trespassing with violence instead of just simply staying calm. Tom Scollins a specialist says that the way to get a wild animal of of your house is to turn off your lights and open up the windows. This will work with raccoons, birds, and squirrels.
I have never been through this but if I do I now know what to do. =Thanks=
Animals are a pain specially if they are in your home this is good advice.
I also dint know that they could enter through the chimney but now I do.
“Prevention is much cheaper than removal.”
=Many people tossed over board=
Many migrants tossed people overboard after their ship lost supplies and also power. These migrants were trying to reach Europe over sea. This was also one of the most deaths of Africans trying to escape their poverty with no other alternative. The attempts to migrate to Europe has decreased because of the appropriate wind and surveillance has changed.
This is wrong that people tossed these people over board because they should have been kept for their loved ones.
That is good that less people are trying to migrate to Europe that means less deaths.
This issue should get more attention for the peoples help.
24,000 people were caught migrating last year and this year it dropped to 8,000. (wow).

Today in cnn I read about this story in Arizona that some citizens were talking to build a fence around the Mexican boarder to keep immigrants from coming in because the government wasn't doing anything about it. The fence to stop illegal immigration was the dream of Chris simcox, the founder and president of the minuteman corps. They said they were going to build a fence if the government doesn't. the fence was described on the minuteman web site as 14 feet high with security cameras and sensors topped with razor wire and flanked by ditches to stop cars. As they received donations, one man MORTGAGED his home and donated 100,000 dollars. And on memorial day last year a ceremony was held on john ladds ranch. The fence they were building was not the fence they described, it was a cow fence. As Chris simcox’s employees started to question what simcox has done with the money that was donated he fired them. Simcox says now that he never promised a high tech fence on ladds ranch, he insists that the barbed wire cow fence really does protect the united states. In a new release simcox claimed that an Alabama company was going to provide the cameras, but the company told cnn that it has made no deal to provide cameras and hasn't heard from minuteman in over 18 months. What happened to all the money donated to the minuteman civil defense corps is in question. Paul Newman, the board supervisor of Cochise county, Arizona, where simcox has been building his barbed wire fences, said simcox plan for a boarder fence was a pipe dream from the very begging. He explained that because the boarder is a patch work of public and private land, a private fence builder could never get permission to build it all.
I think that guy scammed everybody for their money because he promised his group that he had tie that he would get cameras from companies that he hasn’t spoke to in almost two years. I wished went to jail because from all the money the people donated isn't just going to buy a cow fence with some barbed wire at the top.
