►"U.S. Sets reviews of its afghan strategy”
Deeply concerned about about the prospect of failure in Afghanistan, the bush administration and NATO have begun three top-to-bottom reviews of the entire mission, from security and counterterrorism to development, U.S. and alliance officials said. The reviews are an acknowledgement of the need for greater coordination in fighting the taliban and Al-qar-da, halting the rising opium production and trafficking that finances the insurgency, and helping the Kabul government extended its legitimacy and control.
►I agree because they do need more coordination.
►I also agree because they need to protect us.
►In the other hand I don’t agree because they said something when its other thing.
►I think the most interesting fact its that they do need to improve.

Chargers

During 1987 a strike occurred whished made the chargers get replacement players. Rick Kusheourfes was the replacement that replaced Dan Fouts during that era. He broke Dans completion record. During the first game he played which was against the Tampa Bay buccaneers, he completed18-22 passes. He also ran for a abundance of yards. You could say that Dan Fouts was looking like the person who should sit on the bench. Rick lead the replacement chargers to a 3-0 record. When media asked what Dan Fouts thought about rick he said" that it is hard to watch somebody not as good play your position.” This just made the replacement team even more willing to win so they can say they had there time of glory.; The team even lead the chargers to there playoffs. Which is when Dan fouts came in a got the chargers eliminated from the playoffs with 3 interceptions and 2 fumbles. I think that this story is very good because it touches your heart and makes people realize that anything is possible as long as you put your mind to it. Also it gave a chance for some regularly people to shine not just the star players. Some people probably felt as if the world for the chargers was going to come down but the replace meant stepped up and showed that they could win the bigger game.

Private boats have temporarily been banned from Escondido’s Lake Wohlford in an attempt to maintain it free of quagga mussels. The mussels we analyzed to have arrived the US in the 1980s. The tiny shellfish, which have been found and identified at San Vicente Reservoir near Lakeside, can cause costly problems. Billions of dollars have been used trying to construct control on mussels in the Great Lakes. They affect placed by these mussels is that they fill and block water pipes and power plant systems. So the workers at the Great Lakes are trying to work out a better strategy to simplify the blockage. The interesting part is that officials say the only way to kill the mussels is to dry them out or poison them with chlorine. But chlorinating large bodies of water is a big issue, because of it’s impact being that it is too toxic. Until this year, the mussels had never been found consisting the west of the Continental Divide. The shellfish are not being analyzed as a significant threat to the water supply. But if left unchecked, they could derive as an immense and expensive difficulty.

♫This morning I read an article about the new stadium that the chargers are wanting to built in Chula Vista. The chargers are talking to Chula Vista officials to see if they can agree on building a new stadium in there city. If they don’t come on in agreement by the end of this month rumors are going around that the chargers will be leaving San Diego. They say that before the chargers ever even thought about building their new stadium in Chula Vista they were looking for another spot but they didn’t find any. The team officials had made a deal that the city of San Diego promising that the Qualcomm stadium would be rebuild as well as the site of it. The construction costs has gone up a lot so its going to be a lot of money to build a new stadium. The deal that they had made included that more than 6,000 condominiums, offices, retail space, a hotel, and road improvements would also be located on the acre were they want the new stadium to be built. The new stadium at the Qualcomm stadium would cost $1 billion.

♫ Reflection =]
♫ I think that this is a very complicated situation. I hope they rebuild a new Qualcomm stadium in another site that is much bigger because that I know of the Qualcomm stadium right now is a little to small. I can’t wait till they build the new stadium.

♫ Fact =]
♫ An important fact that I read in his article was that the acre where the Chargers want to build the new stadium is 139 acres big.

Source;; San Diego Union Tribune

Article;; Steroids: Cold War Era Commie Training Tip

Summary;; This article was about the steroids that the players of the Chargers have been accused of doing. It is being said that the people who were on steroids did not know that they were taking steroids. They had been told that it was a nutritonal supplement. So unknowingly, they had been feeding a steroid into their systems. It seems like they are innocent because everyone admitted to taking something but they showed it to their coaches right away, without hesitation. The pill they recieved was from a guy by the name of Ron Mix. && He is the one who got te pills from a guy named Roy. Roy had been known to train and coach Russian Olympic Teams. Ron remembered Roy telling him that athletes needed more protein. That was when he handed him the pills, tlling him that the pills would assimilate more protein. Ron says that was the only he told him about the pills. For awhile, everyone of the Charger players were taking these pills until someone got hurt. When one of the players got hurt, they were also sent to physician. The physician asked him a standard question, Are you taking any medication? He then told his doctor about the pills and the he told them they were affecting his heart and liver dangerously.

Reflection;; I do not know how this story ends except for the fact that they stopped doing steroids.

The article I read today was about a parent that didn’t know what F/U meant on a report card. The dad thought it was a failing a unsatisfactory. But they said that you could cheat by changing your grades in a report card.

I was reading an article that was really interesting, the article was regarding child pornography and what officials are doing to solve such a hideous crime wave. They have tracked down and caught many perpetrators that have committed evil crimes against children. All over the world pedophiles and child molesters are being arrested more efficiently thanks to the unified investigation of special agencies. It is sad to say that even though officials now have more ways to arrest those that commit these atrocious acts against children, it is also easier for pedophiles to access these types of materials with an easier method: the internet. Before the technological era, for a depraved person to access this material they had to travel to seedy parts of town and go into adult bookstores and ask for the material they had there, but now, unfortunately, thanks to the internet its so accessible that its just a click away. Thankfully, though, enforcement and child protection laws are working together to ensure the safety of millions of children that have been used and exploited for the sick pleasure of pedophiles. I reprimand those who believe that such things are normal. To those that view such things, you are sick people. Yet I am truly happy that such a delicate and important subject be touched and talked about so openly for the improvement of this wrongdoing.

Today in the union tribune I read that Asians scientists are starting to leave America because they find greener pastures in Asia. Changyuo chen grew up in the Chinese countryside, he was a son of a farmer when he lived in Asia. But he didn’t like it over here after he majored in science so he decided to move back over there. The reason was to him its not al fast over there than it is over here in the united states.
I think that guy is kind of right because he grew up in the countryside of Asia and slow and quiet over there, then he came down here on his own fault looking for a new life obviously but he didn’t like down here along with a whole lot of other Asian people that didn’t like it here in the united states.
