Beach Stairway replacement project approved.

Solana Beach has a stairway worth over 1 million dollars. But since the salty water and sand has ruined it, the stairs will be replaced. The stairs were last built in 1977. The rails will be made of aluminum to prevent corrosion from the salt air. The walkway will also be wide enough for 2 people with surfboards to be able to pass by each other. The entire set of stairs will have to be replaces will amount up to 1 million or more. Also there will CONSiST a new spot for life guards to be able to see a more P0SiTiVE PERCENTAGE of the ocean and FOCUS on more people. The salt AFFECTS the paint on the old rails, which gave the city an APPR0PRiATE ALTERNATiVE.

I chose to read this article because i find it interesting how they have to make stairs when they can just use the big rocks, bash them, and turn them into stairs. The government spends money on pointless things and i don't understand how they spend money on things that arent needed.

Patriots

The patriots are going to go the whole season undefeated. This team will be the only team that will go undefeated in the whole year. The Miami dolphins are second team to have 12 wins and zero losses. The ravens fighting with all there heart lost by a field goal. They fought the whole night last night and almost pulled the game and ended the patriots winning streak but being Tom Brady calm, cool, and collective pulled one from behind and made a upset in Baltimore. Next week the Patriots play the Pittsburgh steelrs. This will be a exciting game. I feel that the patriots will lose before the season is over so we will see.

Clinton pushes plan to combat AIDS.
As I was reading the Union Tribune; Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton was at one of the nation’s largest churches yesterday to draw out a sketch an agenda to help cure disease around the globe which she is going to be calling it “ the right thing to do”. When Clinton made her speech she made reflections and references, she is willing to spend billion of dollars to combat HIV and AIDS as well as other infectious diseases at peoples homes and aboard. As well she said that she wants stop all deaths occurring in Africa, she is hopping to have it stopped in eight years at least. Government and money is not the way to solve anything but it is a way to find a cure for it all, people in Africa and around the world die everyday because the cause of AIDS. Clinton as well released some information stating that if she as president she would double the budget at the national institutes of health, for about $5.2 billion annually and is expected to spend up to 50 billion in five years but worldwide. A man had invited many people to support the AIDS but rarely anyone showed up but Clinton was said to be there, Warren thanking Clinton over and over with more than 1,700 participants.
I think that the united states does need a president like Hillary around because what she is doing is something great. She isn't doing it much because of the money and to be the top person but she is going to events and saying that she is going to be trying and will be doing the cause of helping those in Africa around the world as well nationwide. AIDS and HIV are two serious things and something that not a lot of people put into; many people donate money but for her to take her time and say that she is going to double there money and she is going to find a cure for it all, makes many people happy and especially those in Africa.
The most interesting thing about this whole article is how great it is that Hillary is running for president and she is very devoted to helping out with trying to find a cure.

- The san Diego union tribune
- A promise of police with ‘honor’
- The article that I read today FOCUSES on the Tijuana mayor. Amid a rising outcry over violence and corruption. Jorge Ramos won the ROLE to be Tijuana mayor at midnight Friday night. With a STRATEGY of unprecedented push for honesty and professional standards in the city’s 2300 member police department STRUCTURE. Tijuana has a serious ISSUE in MAINTAINING the high crime PERCENTAGE rate. Just hours PREVIOUS to that his top pick for a high level public safety post fought off an attack at his home by heavily armed assailants.
- I think that this article is pretty interesting. I think that he is doing good because there is a lot of crime in TJ. A lot of times you don’t feel safe to go out and have fun.
- One interesting thing that I learned is that he is a member of Mexico's national action party or PAN.

I was reading a very interesting article in the Sunday’s ISSUE of the newspaper. The article addressed a very sad topic; world hunger. More specifically Malawi's famine infested country. The key FACTOR for this hunger in past years had been bad crops and a disastrous bad harvest in 2005. The outcome was that almost one half of its population was AFFECTED and left in extreme hunger and in critical need of emergency food aid. It is SIGNIFICANT to say that the country’s president had a very positive outlook and instead of keep asking for help to other countries and begging them for food, he chose to ask for fertilizer instead to produce better crops. From this he DERIVED a very positive outcome his country is so prosperous that they are exporting so much to other countries in need. I hope that the country maintains producing so much food that it can help other countries in need like they once were in need too.

The pats redo blog

The patriots are going to go the whole season undefeated. This team will be the only team that will go undefeated in the whole year. The Miami dolphins are second team to have 12 wins which equates up to zero losses. The issue that the had last night was the offense not playing hard enough. Ravens fighting with all there heart lost by a field goal the impact showed the the patriots could be beat. The previous game the pats played they also almost lost to the structure of the eagle defense. The ravens criteria and the way they played showed that the pats will lose sometimes this year. If they don’t then they will go undefeated this year with zero losses. The pats have a lineup of old and resourceful players on the defense and offense.

♫ He article I read about this morning was about undergoing power lines. Recent fires reignite of going over head debate. Electrical power lines were found to have caused several of the wildfires that happened in the month of October. Residents that were affected in the wildfires came to one conclusion. They all said that they will bury the backcountry lines so that it can prevent future fires. The California department of Forestry and the fire protection people said that it’s a situation and conclusion that’s worth discussing. The utility industry thinks that most ratepayers balk at burying lines confronted with the actual costs. It will be very expensive for these people but I guess their willing to take a risk for it.

♫Reflection =]
♫ I think that in this case it would actually be a good idea. That really sucks that most of the fires were caused by electrical power lines. I hope they come up to some conclusion for this situation.

♫Fact=]
♫ One important fact that I read in this article was that the debate over undergrounding in this region is being further stoked by SDG&E’s proposal to build a new overhead power line through the backcountry.

=Michaels Vicks house for sale=

While Michael Vick is waiting for trial on April his house is also waiting for placement. Wilbur Ray Todd Jr. the new owner has plans for the house. After the house was being occupied for dog fighting it is now being remodeled. Wilbur's idea is to better the house to auction it on Dec 15. But some buyers are already trying to make deals with Wilbur before the auction. The five-bedroom and 4 ½ bathroom house was bought for $747.000 by Michael Vick and was bought for only $450.000 by Todd. When the new owner first walked in the house he said that there was still some dog collars in the house and also some dog houses. But before the auction they need to clean up the yards since it has been mistreated.
This guy is smart he will get double the money back he paid for the house.
They should let the house set for a while so the situation calms down and then sell it that way it will be easier to happen.
This is a good article because it shows how the government can take your home after its been used for illegal stuff.
They might sell the house before the actual auction if someone offers a good deal.

Today in the union tribune I read that last week there an issue where Bret Favre was injured at a football game by tony romo. He was good, too good for Favre and the packers. romo spent all week denying that Favre was his hero. but played a lot like a young Bret Favre. Full of joy but needing a bit of a high wire act the Dallas cowboys past the packers 37-27 and into the lead for home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs. Romo threw four touch downs passes to send the cowboys to their 6th consecutive win.
I think that if the Dallas cowboys go to the playoffs I think they will lose because of what tony romo did to Bret Favre that isn't going to pass in the playoffs.
I feel that Bret Favre got cheated because if he wasn't hurt the green bay packers would have won.

Water supply changing for many
Many regions in San Diego will now consume fluoridated water. The strategy of adding fluoride to our waters was a derived alternative from the Metropolitan Water District. Fluoridation is said to simplify the preventions of tooth decay. Cities and water agencies that consists of the consumers of district will become involved with the use of the fluoridated water. The Sweetwater District, who equate with four other agencies will not purchase fluoridated water. These four agencies buy untreated water and use their own construction techniques to treat the water they supply. Many bottled waters have been examined and verified to maintain a smaller percentage of fluoride. Those who are for fluoride believe that in reduced the process of cavities and keeps kids healthier. The executive director of the SD Fluoridation Coalition, voices that new use of fluoride is also set to be a positive low cost plan. Many who disagree with the use of fluoride perceive that the use of fluoride is unnecessary and causes many diseases and is view as poison. The oppositions also debate that fluorosilic acid is not a safe and has yet not be correctly tested. High levels of fluoride can cause dental fluorosis, which discolor the teeth of young children. The American Dental Association recommends for infants to consume nonfluoridated water only.

Oil Spilled at 2.8 mill. gallons
In Mallipo Beach, South Korea crude oil could be smelled for an 11 mile stretch after the oil spill that began this past Friday. This spill is threatening fish farms in the area and residents in the area are struggling to contain this spill. A Hong Kong super tanker was slammed this past Friday be a Samsung Corp. barge in South Koreas rough seas puncturing 3 holes in to the ship causing it to spill nearly 2.8 million gallons of crude oil in to ocean, this was twice as worse as the last spill in South Korea in 1995. Residents and emergency workers helped by using buckets to try and remove the oil that was being carried on to the coast by the strong winds and currents to the country’s western coast. The smell of crude oil could be smelled from a half-mile away. The coast guard helped with 62 ships and 5 helicopters. Business owners like Cho Yoo-soon who runs a raw fish restaurant at Mallipo Beach said that the situation was overwhelming and that restaurants in the area were closing because they were not able to pump fresh water into the fish tanks. “Without fresh sea water the fish will start going bad after a week.” The affected areas are home to 181 maritime farms that produce abalone, brown seaweed, littleneck clams and se cucumber said another resident. Authorities and the people in the area are trying their best to deal with this tragic event. It will take time to clean up the are because the work on the coast has to be done by hand and they are trying to prevent it from spreading farther. The government has agreed to help residents in the area financially and has declared it a disaster zone. The size of the spill is only a quarter of what the 1989 Exxon Valdez spill, that spill had released 11 million gallons of crude oil into Alaska’s sea.
To be in the situation the people in South Korea are in is difficult because a lot of the people there rely on the area for food and money and without it they cant live their regular lives. Its hard to say what I would do if I were in this situation because I haven’t experienced it but I’m sure it would affect me in a lot of ways.
