Source;; Union Tribune.

Article;; "Security is beefed up amid violence"

Summary;; This morning's blog is about an article on the security in Baja California. It seems that violence in Baja california has taken a heavy economic toll on key tourist destinations. Officials are saying that they are going to try to fix this problem. They will be working to incr4ease security along well-traveled roads and in shopping districts where U.S. visitors usually go. Municipal governments are banding together to creat a "safe zone" for the tourists from the San Ysidro border crossing to south of the port of Ensenanda, along the coastal strip where asaults have occurred. All the violence in Baja Californai is discouraging people to visit.

Reflection;; I think that Mexico can be a very dangerous country. Yes, I know there's no such place as a safe place. But- I do believe the Mexican government can still do a lot to fix security.

Interesting fact;; The numbers of visiots to the state by nearly 2 million, from 20.3 million in 2006 to 18.6 million in 2007.

- The San Diego Union Tribune
- Security is beefed up amid violence
- The article that I read today was about violence in tourists REGIONS. As reports of violence in Baja California take a heavy economic toll on key tourist CULTURE, officials say they are ACQUIRING to increase security along well traveled roads and in shopping districts frequented by U.S. visitors. The federal government has stepped up patrols on the toll road between Tijuana and Ensenada, while the state has posted officers at the entrances and exits Oscar Escobedo Carignan, Baja California's tourism secretary. The federal Angeles Verdes tourist assistance police also has an increased presence in the area. Municipal governments are banding together to create a safe zone for tourist from the San Ysidro border crossing to south of the port of Ensenada, along a coastal strip where assaults have occurred. They are revamping their tourist police to focus on areas such as downtown Rosarito beach and Tijuana’s Avenida Revolucion.
- I think that this is a very interesting article. I think that it is a good idea that they INVEST in the tourist’s zones. This will definitely bring more tourists and help SURVEY the economy.
- To CONCLUDE this, one interesting thing that I learned is that the number of visitors decreased by nearly 2 million.

Chargers

Wes welker was a former charger. He was released the same day they picked him up. The patriots found a spot for him on the offense part of the ball. Now he is leading the NFL in receptions. If the patriots have a upper step on the chargers then it will be the patriots widereciever. They have four widerecievers that are vicious in eating up yards and scoring. Randy Moss, Dante Stallworth, Wes Welker, Jamour Gaffney. These are the exact leaders you need on your team. If that is not enough then the running backs that the patriots have is perfect combination of speed and power. Laurence Mauroney, and Kevin Fualk. Both are timed running backs who know how to run the clock out. The deciding factors for the chargers will be if Ladaninan Tomlinson plays in the game. The chargers will have Phillip rivers playing in the game they just need to have Billy Volek in the game playing for them. IT wont help if you have a health quarterback playing in the game.

Today in the union tribune, I read about the biggest chargers fan. He is a 70 year old previous elevator company owner. He and a partner sold when he felt he got to old. After that he dedicated the rest of his life to be the biggest chargers fan. But before that he attended every chargers game since 1969. he travels every where the chargers play. He even has the san Diego union tribune of the chargers making it to the super bowl in 1995. he say he wants to go to Arizona if the on Feb. 3 the chargers make it to the super bowl this year. Every season he takes his wife and granddaughter to every chargers game around the U.S. to them its another weekend until game day. The end

I was reading this article that caught my attention. Some months ago there was an article that I had read that was about an oil spill from an EXPORTING ship that had occurred in the San Francisco's Bay. In that article it said that many of the marine life in that area had been AFFECTED and many birds ended up dead. Now at least three months after there is another article on the newspaper regarding the same story. In this recent article there are updates that ASSESS the causes of the accident. Investigators have discovered that the driver had a chronic sleeping disorder. The people in charge of hiring him had dismissed his condition on the behalf that the driver had proved that he was taking prescription drugs that had his condition under control. The driver, John Cota, had AQUIRED the prescription drugs that would keep his condition under control, but what he didn’t point out was that the side effects of the drugs include impaired judgment. Now officials are trying to CONCLUDE if this was the cause of the accident. Now they have to keep investigating because they need to know if it was an accident or neglect or something else. Cota needs to CULTIVATE his art of truthfulness because his lack of it caused a disastrous accident.

“S.D. School board looks to N.C. for leadership”
►What I read today was that on Terry grier,s North Carolina native who has been at the helm of seven public-school system throughout the United States in the past 24 years, has been tappet to lead the San Diego United Schools District. After months of meeting behind closed doors to select a superintendent, the School Board Voted unanimously yesterday to hire Grier, 57, who started his career as a biology and healed-education teacher. For the past eight years, Grier has been head of Guilford county schools, the third-largest pre-kinder-garden-through-12th-grade system in North Carolina with 71,400 students. He has been recognized there for creating alternative schools to help underachivers and implementing a controversial inceptive-pay program to lure the best teacher and principal to struggling schools.
►I don’t agree on this because we should look at our own leadership.
►I also don’t agree because the people on the City of S.D. it have a lot of leadership.
►In the other hand if the leader ship of anther country its better that the one we have then we should look at it.
►I think the most interesting fact its that people from this city its looking at the leader ship of N.C.

A man from California went out hunting in Livingston, Montana and was attacked by a bear. The man was out hunting with his buddy and they were led to a private hunting ground by a special guide that knew the territory’s range. The man’s buddy had just hunted down a deer. The man was at least 400 yards away from the victim when he heard another shot go off. The guide also heard the shot but it was not determined if the bear had been shot. When the guide and the victim’s companion reached the victim he lay motionless on the floor. Turns out the bear had slapped him across the face making his eye pop out of his socket. The guide said that the bear had to be a male , since there was no more horrible damages made. He also said that female bears usually leave their victims hurt extremely bad.
