“151,000 Iraqi Dead Estimated in the first 3 years of war”
►What I read on the newspaper today was that the estimated deaths in on Iraq in 2003 was about 151,000 and now they did another estimate by the World Health Organization and The Iraqi government, and also based on door-to-door surveys of nearly 10,000 house holds now the estimated in 2006 its far lower than 600,000. This are the deaths reported in an early study.
►I don’t agree with this because there are too much deaths over government stuff.
►I also don’t agree because its not even worth it.
►I think it is worth it to the government to lose human people over “law in other countries”; but I think its over oil.
►I think the most interesting fact its that there were a lots of deaths.

♥Article; Stiles Pleads Not Guilty

♥Summary; This morning's blog is based on an article I read about an accused sexual assault. The main suspect who's been arrested have connection with the sexual assault of a tewo year old is Chester Stiles. Stiles was held on more than twenty counts; inlcuidng a felony charge of creation of child pornography. He has now claimed not guilty but if he is convicted he could face multiple life terms in prison. But for now, he remains in isolation at the Clark County jail. But one of his lawyers is intending to write up a request for the judge to set bail. His hearing is scheduled to begin on April 14th.

♥Reflection; I have not really read up too much on this subject except for this article so I do not have any idea what to think. All I know is that if anyone is kidnapping girls, raping them, making pornos with...I hope they get life or at least a very long sentence in prison.

- The San Diego Union Tribune
- Transit district gets orders to clean up it’s act
- The article that I read today was about the north county transit district. The water board wants pollution stopped. The California Regional Water Quality Control Board has ordered North county District to show how it will control pollution along the new sprinter passenger train line, or else. The boards San Diego region issued a clean up and abatement order Dec. 31 it latest salvo aimed at getting the transit district to stop runoff along the 22 mile track from fouling local streams. The district must stop the pollution immediately and show how it will fix the problem by Jan. 31 or face possible fines or legal action, according to the order. The violations date to February 2007, according to water quality control board inspection documents, and are ongoing. Inspectors filed reports citing violations once in October, twice in November, and three times in December.
- I think that this article is interesting. I dint even know that this sprinter existed. But I do know one thing, it has gotten a lot of violations. I wonder why they haven't been shut down or under new management.
- One interesting thing that I learn is that the transit district agreed to pay a $160,000 penalty last month for falsifying inspection reports and failing to prevent runoff along the track between Oceanside and Escondido.

Today in the union tribune I read that in new Hampshire polls showed that Barack Obama opened a big lea heading into the democratic primary, but when votes were counted Hilary Clinton had one, even she seemed surprised. Questions were being asked, were the polls all wrong? Did pollsters misjudge how many women would vote? Did voters lie when pollsters called? Or where the polls right about Obama leading, proving that debates and campaigning the last weekend really do matter and can sway voters? It is so unprecedented. But as they realized Obama was more likely to win the election, one possibility widely mentioned yesterday that white new Hampshire voters lied to pollsters, expressing support for Obama, then voting against him once they were in the privacy of the polling booth. that's happened before- tom Bradley’s 1982 losing for California governor and its noteworthy that there was no big discrepancy on the republican side, where all the top candidates were white.
I think these people are scandalous because they’re cheering on Obama then they vote for Hilary just because he's black that sucks.
I feel those people who voted should be dealt with and should be paddled.

Boy Scouts required to show they can confront bullies.

This article talks about Boy Scouts needing to know how to stand up to bullies and how not to be a bully. They say this is a good idea because there are some boy scouts who are bullies and there are younger scouts who get bullied. The bully subject is going to be as important as getting a badge, pin, or slip knot.

I think this idea is good, but the way they explained teaching the scouts to stand up to a bully might get them into a fight. Come backs they used as a response to a bully sounds like a smart remark that can some times lead to fights. But the subject can also help the younger one's whose feelings get hurt easily.

An interesting fact i learned was an example they used in the article when a 13 year old girl hung herself because of an online hoax in which she was responding to a boy who did not exist.

Today I read an article, it was about two siblings that had murdered there stepfather during a phony home invasion. If convicted Gann could face the death penalty or life in prison without the possibility of parole. The sister is not eligible for the death penalty because she was a minor at the time of the murder. Prosecutors had accused the siblings of murder during a robbery, but then changed it to an ambush. The lady had told police that an intruder had shot McNeil after he had refused to give him the combination to the safe, later she had told police that she and Gann had began to plot the murder a few days before the shooting. Gann’s lawyer had said the statements that the girl had provided were unreliable. But prosecutors said that she had already admitted to her part in the slaying. Gann’s lawyer had also said that there was no physical evidence linking him to the shooting. Hansen; the girl, had said that she didn’t want to proceed with the plan but Gann had told her it would continue whether she liked it or not.

I was reading an article that truly distressed me. In a world that is so advanced in technology, so rich in culture and so desirable of peace, I cannot believe that atrocities such as genocides still occurred. Yet, the article I was reading today proved me wrong. Kenya is home to such disaster. Kenya had its first multiparty elections held in the year of 1992. That year Daniel Arap Moi, was reelected as president of Kenya, but, there was bloodshed. Questions were aroused as to whether he had won the elections fairly. Many who thought that he didn’t opposed his presidency and even killed people from his tribe. Unfortunately that is happening today in Kenya. President Mwai Kibaki won this year’s presidential election but many believe that the polls were embezzled. The people of Kenya are fed up with the stronger tribes always taking something from them. Since there is no unity between the tribes there will always be tribal disputes. Usually the stronger tribes will always end up harassing the weaker tribes. In this case the Kikuyu tribe is the strongest and the president belongs to this tribe. But the other less strong tribes are revolting. I personally believe that it is a good thing that they stand up for themselves but, it would be better if they harmonized and worked better as a unified country instead of killing each other. Because that is what the smaller tribes are doing, they are terrorizing and killing thousands of men women and children that belong to kikuyu tribe.

♫The article I read about this morning was related to the war in Iraq. Ever since March of the year 2003 there’s been 151,000 deaths in Iraq. At least that’s the estimate that they came up with for now. The estimate of 151,000 people was since March 2003 thru June 2006. The estimate comes from projections by the World Health Organization and by the Iraqi government. The Iraqi government went house to house to 10,000 different houses to do a survey on how many people have died. The true toll may never be known because many deaths go unreported in the chaos that has gripped the country. The numbers could also be tainted by sectarian bias.

♫ My Reflection =]
♫My reflection on this mornings article is very shocking. I could never have imagined how many people really died in the war that is going on with the United States and Iraq. I hope this war ends soon because it affects a lot of people and things in the world.

♫ Interesting Fact =]
♫An interesting fact that I read about in this article was that the DNA test that was done in 2007 also showed that blood stains found on a red leather purse and an eyeglass case belonging to June could have came from Marc even though the tests weren’t conclusive.

Last week the CDF Firefighters paid thousands to get a what they state to have been an ad for a New Year’s greeting for the SD County residents, and also a response to the criticism debated upon the act of the CAL Fire’s management of the wild fires. Bob Wolf, Union President indicated that the ad was to simply trying to express that their commitment and hard work placed as their roles, also featuring the logo if the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection known as CAL Fire, but had not referred to the labor union. The ads were not published anywhere else besides the North County. The use for the logo could have caused an penalty against the union’s use, Spokesman Daniel Berlant alleged they had not approved of any usage of the logo. There were many complaints by local officials saying that the CAL Fires could have done a better job with the fires. County Supervisor Ron Roberts one of the critics, spoke that the County needs to work on making changes to organize and better communicate with the CAL Fire. I really don’t know too much about the work of the firefighters and if it was good or not, but also it could be that some people are exaggerating. I mean at least they should appreciate for the work and houses they did get to save during the fires, of course of there’s a fire houses are going to burn down. There not super power heroes like superman, I think people need to stop acting selfish and think about the risk these people take to save the lives of others, and many of them having family with young kids.

Union Tribune: Bush begins Mideast tour with demands, warnings.
Bush is in his first visit to Jerusalem and he was demanding many things. He demanded that Israelis shut down unauthorized settler outpost on Palestinian territory. He also wanted to make sure they were not going to get attacked form Iraq. He was trying to talk to Israeli and Arabs to see if they will create a union of peace between them. This is his last try he will make so they can get along. He is also trying to get a regional support policy for the confrontation in Iran. In a talk it has been said that Iran's ambitions have been nuclear weapons and they fear that it is true. I think that it is good that President Bush is there and I think that he is trying to do something useful for the first time ever.
